This animation and Riso prints feature a set of glyphs that translate to personal traits, interests, and values. Each glyph is built from a consistent set of shapes and rules, allowing the collection to function both individually and as a unified language. This project explores how abstract forms can communicate personality and meaning without words, blending self-expression with structured graphic design principles. The Riso prints are an experimentation of color and how a design can transfer between mediums.
I began this project thinking of six words that describe me. Imaginative, optimistic, artistic, dependable, trusting, and approachable. During the beginning sketches of this glyph set, I could not get an image of a wide eye out of my head. I decided that was the creative direction I needed to follow.
Wanting to expand my motion skills and combine my love for illustration, I designed these bright eyes with the looks, blinks, and colors representative of their assigned personality.
