Fender Bass Diagram is an informational design project that visually breaks down the components of the American Professional II Jazz Bass. The diagram highlights key parts and features of the guitar through illustration and typography. Designed for bass enthusiasts, the project translates complex instrument details into an easy-to-understand visual reference that appreciates the instrument’s craftsmanship.
I love my bass.
So I made a diagram of it! I saw this of a great opportunity to dive into research and really learn my instrument inside and out. The purpose of this diagram is to show the complexity that many rock instruments possess.
Trying to stay with my typical textured illustration style was not working in the beginning of this project. So I quickly shifted gears to a style that was true to the actual look of the bass.
