The 110m Men’s Hurdles Olympic Accordion Book uses data visualization and editorial design to translate the structure, history, and movement of the event into a physical format. Through spreads highlighting Olympic locations, track specifications, and uniform evolution, the project emphasizes clarity, hierarchy, and visual rhythm.

The accordion fold mirrors the linear progression of the race itself, allowing information to unfold sequentially and reinforcing the relationship between motion, space, and athletic performance.

This accordion book was one of my first dives into strict information design. I wanted to create a system that was visually engaging but maintained a clear and informative structure.

I began with initial sketches of layouts and began to play with my visual style. Eventually landing on a grainy gradient that is consistent across the book.
